What a weekend. 90 percent of our boxes and assorted loose crap is now sitting in a garage in Edmonton, our furniture and appliances still sitting in the house in the Hat. The house is for sale, officially. Almost had a private offer before it hit the market, but it didn't happen. It started out OK, but it started to feel a little shady, especially when they said that before they'd make an offer, we had to file an insurance claim for hail damage that didn't exist. Better off without offers like that.

So, we'll probably go back next weekend too, blitz the last of the packing and be totally ready for either ourselves or movers to take the rest of the junk. We brought enough this past weekend to save many hours of mover's labour, if we choose to go that route.

The house we liked has sold, unfortunately, to someone who is not us. But, I knew it would happen, so this just means we can sort of know what to expoect to get in our budget, how fast we have to act when we find one, and it must be a better one out there that we are meant to have.

Anne, Les and Graham, members of Allie's Scottish family, were up visiting, spending time in the Hat, Edmonton and the Rockies. They flew off for home yesterday. They are so awesome..I wish they'd move here so we'd see them more than every two years or so. Miss'em already.

Work is busy, but I am constantly learning, juggling responsobilites, and time is flying by. I get there at 7AM or so, and before I know it, it's 12, 12:30, or even 1PM. Between that and the move, I am pretty wiped out. Hopefully it will all be over soon..the move, not the job.
