Okay, for anyone that is wondering. The original candy was called Toffifee in Germany and Austria. In the USA, and apparently Canada, it was marketed as Toffifay, presumably because the American marketing firm believed that Americans would be confused by the pronunciation. By default, Canadians got the same product, I guess. AT some point, the Canadian version was renamed the proper Toffifee, while Toffifay is still sold in the USA.

Silly..but then again, American marketing brains also figured "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" would confuse Americans (Who wants to buy their kids books and movies about philosophy?) and marketed it as "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" instead.
