Blindly following again..only posting it because it is surprisingly accurate in places. Quiz here.

Get to know yourself better

Your view on yourself:
Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Grey Cup was good. I'm not a huge football fan, but I can get intersted in one game per year, especially if Edmonton is involved. The game was good, we had our first gathering of family, and everybody had fun. Even the dogs semi-behaved.

The big screen and HD picture were hits, too.

Yay, I found the new home of "Superman is a Dick", and they've expanded. My favourite so far is the section of (maybe) unintended innuendo.

Thanks, Eric. This actually has become a concern for us, not only our own cats, but friends' cats, and even dogs.

Also on the same page, this made me laugh,, but for those who don't know what a turducken is, click here first.

Heh.

Mike did this...

All rightey then. I guess everybody is entitled to their own little obsessions, and to have a webpage about them. But, people being carried?

People are weird.

You are .dll You are dynamic. You are constantly in danger of bringing down the house, because you don't play well with others.
Which File Extension are You?

Going to watch the Grey Cup in big-screen, HDTV goodness on Sunday. Anyone who wants to come by, give me a call. Prior to that, Saturday night, I am going to watch Kung Fu Hustle, and the new gem I just picked up, Enter..Zombie King! I saw the box art and had to have it..the linked review has my expectations both low and high at the same time. Should be fun for sheer silliness.

Okay, mental note to not read Wrestlecrap during a coffee break at work. Save it for home, because getting the giggles in my office over something like this week's 15th anniversary review of No Holds Barred is embarassing.

If you can get that far without clicking away to another site in disgust, I particularly like the "launching 23 feet in the air"..and the leaky anus.

Both symptoms of high-quality filmmaking, I tell you.

I can't believe Eddie Guerrero is gone. Years of abuse, steroids and painkillers..a heart attack at 38 years old. He overcame his demons, but the damage had been done. Sad.

RIP, Eddie..I have one less reason to even bother watching wrestling anymore.

Cool. This may be the premiere flick in my home theatre, as a trial run for Zombiethon.

Needless to say, photoshopped version is below.

Even I don't quite know what to say about this.

Second and third-last photos taken in Medicine Hat. When we moved in, the prvious owner had this stupid concrete deer yard ornament. It was heavier than hell..one day, Allie took a sledgehammer to it, and I lobbed its remains over the fence into the dog run that we never used. This is what remained..I was going to leave it in the mailbox for the new owners, but since we were already leaving a garage full of crap, I decided not to stir the pot.

And when i say crap, it was mostly good crap..basically, a garage sale that never happened. We never heard anything, so I guess they didn't mind.

Remembrance Day..thinking about my dad..remembering what I posted last year.

Oh, eBay, I love you and I hate you. I have sold all the surplus video projectors that I accumulated over the years and used in my previous home theatres. They cost me a total of about $60..I sold them for over ten times that, and am awaiting the arrival of my HDTV capable projector, as mentioned in the previous post. 3-for-1..not a bad deal. Yes, I know, the money could have gone towards other household expenses, but then i wouldn't have a home theatre, and I could just as well have kept a projector that i wouldn't be happy with. I'm not looking at it as money that I spent..I bartered, using PayPal as a proxy. the money never touched my hands, or even landed in my bank account.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM justifying it...

I had a bit of a panic yesterday as I was calling the dogs in from their crap-break. Molly came in..no Buzz. I called again..no Buzz. I went out into the yard, checked the two places I can't see from the step..no Buzz. I called again, the panic in my voice clearly discernable to Allie and CBT Dave, who was over for a visit..and I saw movement on the wrong side of the fence. Buzz had gotten out of the yard, and thankfully, totally unlike him, didn't go running as far as possible in the shortest amount of time, as he usually does when he gets out. I called him to the gate, and in he came. I thought I figured out how he got out, so did a quick fix, but resolved to supervise them for the next few times they went outside.

This morning, let them out, and took my eyes off them for TWO SECONDS..and Molly was alone in the yard again. He was on the same side of the same fence as yesterday..called him back in the gate, which was still in the temp-fixed position I had left it..he hadn't gotten out there.

I figured it out this time, so I have some fence work to do before I can trust them out there again. Stupid dogs.

Its a housework kinda weekend. Picked up dog crap in the yard..man, you'd think our dogs were a lot bigger judging from the piles I scooped up. Started putting up our outdoor Christmas lights. I want the majority of it done before the winter wather really hits. Got most of it done yesterday, had to go out today and get two more strings of icicle lights..we have more frontage to out house than in previous years. Hopefully, I'll get those up today.

More unpacking and sorting of our goods. We have a few weeks to get our house in shape for our late-November Christmas party. My work is cut out for me. My goal is to get the lving room/dining room/kitchen and main bathroom looking more like we live here, and less like we just moved in. The basement home theatre is coming together, thanks to the sale (on eBay of course) of all my old surplus projectors that I picked up over the years. With the proceeds of those, I have ordered a better projector that should serve me very well for as long as we're in this house. HDTV, here I come!

I also aim to have the craft room usable, too, although it is currently our "secure storage" area (secure from rummaging cats, that is.) If I can get the work area set up in half of it, and keep the "unpacking in progress" to the other half, I will be happy and satisfied for now.

I love having this much usable space. The basement in our Medicine Hat house was pretty sad compared to this. Even the house in Skyview (our last house in Edmonton) wasn't as functional for all the things we wanted to do.

Went to see Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman at The Metro last night. I missed being able to see non-Hollywood films in Medicine Hat. This was pretty cool..funny, strange, not quite the gore-fest I was led to believe it would be, but enjoyable all the same. Makes me want to watch Kung Fu Hustle again. Perhaps as a debut movie for my new and improved home theatre...

The last movie I went to see with Clear Blue Thought Dave before Zatoichi was Serenity..which reminds me, overheard among the twenty-somethings behind us at said movie..."I am Shiva, Destroyer of Worlds!". Heh. Mukey knows the reference. Here if you don't.

Cool, we have internet at the house again. I have a bit of a story about it..I will relate details when I know all the facts. In two weeks comes the (unfortunately legitimate) sattelite service hookup.

A year. Wow. A year ago, we were in Medicine Hat,trying something new. I was destressing on the EI bandwagon.

It's been a year since I've seen my best friend.

It's been a year since another good friend got married (happy late annniversary, Alex and Jan!)

And here we are again..November, soon to be December. Another fresh start, in a familar place. Many things have changed in the last year..some good, some not so good. But, everything looks good coming up.
